Job Summary

The Clark Art Institute is pleased to offer a year-long, post-baccalaureate internship that offers young art professionals a unique view of the administration of a major international arts institution.

Essential Functions

The Special Assistant assists the Director in his internal and external responsibilities, engaging with staff from the Clark’s Museum Program, the Research and Academic Program, as well as the Advancement, External Affairs, and Publications departments. These interactions will introduce the assistant to significant responsibility and access to leadership and management during their year-long tenure. The experience the Lunder Special Assistant to the Director gains in this position affords a comprehensive perspective on the Clark, preparing would-be museum professionals for many opportunities in the field. Current seniors (anticipating graduation in May of 2015) and recent graduates of colleges and universities in Maine, in addition to Maine residents who will graduate from out-of-state institutions, are invited to apply.
